Hawkins Family - Sneak Peek

Nothing thrills me more than taking family photos for those that have none or only a handful shots of everyone together. When little children seem to grow up in the blink of any eye, capturing these special moments and these special times is so very important.

And that is what made today’s session so precious to me. .... and even more so because Cas and I met over three years ago when our little poppets were just a couple of months old (and who are now inseparable at childcare!), and I am blessed to call her a friend in my life.

Meet the gorgeous Hawkins family ... aren’t their two brown-eyed boys just adorable? They were such a treat to follow around and watch them explore the world around them, completely in their element when climbing rocks, searching for sticks, splashing in the water or discovering bugs (and cicada shells stuck to a tree!).

{Plunkett Family} - Natural light portrait session

I have a feeling a certain Mum is going to be very happy come Christmas time ......

 Meet Jess, Ben & Jake, who organised for this photo session this evening as a Christmas gift for their Mum who has been wanting, for some time, photos of these gorgeous siblings together. Reluctantly the boys agreed and an excited Jess got them all out this evening for some photo fun.

Brigadoon {Theatre images}

A few months ago I was invited to take some photos of the Queanbeyan Players' production of Iolanthe .... and I was welcomed into a fun new world of local theatre. The cast and crew are fabulous, full of enthusiasm and energy whenever they are up on stage, and they certainly made photographing them such a pleasure.

This month, the Queanbeyan Players' have been performing their latest production, 'Brigadoon', a Lerner & Loewe musical set in the land of the Bonny Scots, and I would like to share a few of these images.

The Adams Family - Sneak Peek

There is a lot to be said for a family that readily shows their emotions to each other. There were lots of special things about this family portrait session with the Adams, but one that stood out for me was that everytime I asked them to move in close to each, they all would put their arms around each other, hold hands, touch a hand on a shoulder or give a hug. I loved seeing the love that these guys obviously share together.

And I can't tell you just how much fun I had doing this session .... I would often have to stop myself from giggling just so I could hold my camera still and actually take a photo. They had me laughing. They had each other laughing.

The last time the Adams family had a family portrait taken, their daughter Phoebe was just a newborn. Knowing how nervous both Tim & Tammy were of having their photos taken and to be the one trusted to take some special family photos for them meant the world to me.

Thanks Tim, Tammy, Liam and Phoebe for allowing me take some special photos of you all and keeping my utterly and thoroughly entertained in the process xxx

I love that Liam chose his own hat & tie to wear! This boys got some style :)

How cute are these two .... all the way down to the tips of the funky pink toenails!

And as the sun set on this fun session, shoes were slipped off, as the family hung out together on the jetty and shared a few more giggles ....

Family birthday gift photo session {Rebecca Doyle Photography}

What a treat it was to work with this family!  Their absolute love and enjoyment of all just being together shone through during this session and it was plainly obvious that they have a lot of fun together.

As a birthday gift for their Mum, sisters Claire and Kate organised a family photo session, and I would like to share a special sneak peek with you.
